The medieval foundations of many of the towns in Gorbeia make it a real luxury to stroll through the cobbled streets of their historic quarters, true jewels of real estate heritage. Such is their value that several of them have been declared ‘monumental sites’ by the Basque Government. 

 

Some municipalities stand out for their mixture of buildings with rural and urban architecture: Areatza, Otxandio, Legutio, Orozko and Ibarra (Aramaio) are some of the most emblematic villages.
