The forests are a spectacle all year round and especially in spring when they become a constellation of radiant green leaves and in autumn, when they spread a carpet of golden leaves.

 

The Gorbeia Natural Park is populated by beech, oak, chestnut, holly and birch trees. Take a stroll and enjoy the verticality of the immense fir trees and the greenery of the wild pines. 

 

The Urkiola Nature Reserve is one of the natural jewels of the Basque Country, where birch forests contrast with the rugged limestone peaks, creating a place of great beauty and geographical and scenic interest. 

 

Be sure to contemplate and photograph the trasmocho beech forests, beech forests with candelabra shapes that give them an air of enchanted forest.
