Antzasti Museum
Walk through the rooms of a traditional Basque house and compare it with the bourgeois houses of 18th century industrial Bilbao in this farmhouse turned into a sensory museum.
Antzasti Euskaldunon Etxea is an ethnographic museum that shows two very different lifestyles in a fundamental period of history: the industrial revolution.
The museum is a time capsule that shows, through carefully decorated and contextualised environments, the way of life, leisure and work of the traditional farmhouse in the rural environment and the nineteenth-century bourgeois houses of urban and industrial Bilbao.
During the tour you will experience the exciting story of two worlds that run parallel through the objects, furniture and costumes on display and the music and video projections that convey the sensations of two diametrically opposed lifestyles.
Arrange a guided tour to combine a visit to the museum with a tasting of local farmers' produce in the chill-out area, and don't forget to visit the shop to take home a souvenir.
