The interpretative area of this Park House or Parketxe is a good place to get an overall idea of the importance of the conservation of the Gorbeia Natural Park, a protected area where exuberant nature blends with legends, art, gastronomy and traditions in rural settings.

In the same house there is a model that summarises the most relevant landscape, geological and cultural features of the Park through a recorded voice-over, and a self-guided exhibition showing the changes in the landscape and in animal and human behaviour depending on the season of the year. In the projection room you can delve even deeper into the park through videos. 

 

From the Parketxe there are different routes that take you to the top of Mount Gorbea, both simple routes for the whole family and other more demanding routes of great beauty.

 

The Parketxe also regularly organises activities open to the general public, including the observation of the bellowing of the deer, a natural spectacle that takes place in September and which can be seen on organised visits in small groups, with prior registration.
